Jewel of the dark
Slowly sinking into the Cimmerian night,
Lustrously adorning the caliginous sky!
O’er the seas and oceans, shining bright;
Dwelling amidst the stars, so high.
Seeing the wide world beneath you,
Reclusively enjoying every sight;
Wonder what secrets you knew,
To come down and tell us all night.
What powers gave the eternal beauty?
Dark patches, yet completely pristine!
You serve as a symbol of love by duty,
Cloaked in white, a radiance of divine.
Your glorious shine gave the shade,
Under which we arranged our joys,
Every morning, a goodbye we bade
As you recess smoothly, out of choice.
