Art

Art is one other facet to express my thoughts. While watercolour has been an ever-favourite medium, I also love gouache and acrylic. Doodles and zentangles restore my peace.

Urban sketching and digital art are newly-picked hobbies, and converting real-time photos to paintings is what I do for sheer joy.

Glimmers are small moments of joy or peace that come up when appreciating simple things.

A long day coming up...wait, why dread? How about finding glimmers?

Like waking up for sunshine;
a warm morning bath;
Tangy sauce in the pasta;
catching flowers falling in a park;
getting work done early;
vibing to music while walking;
waving at your neighbour;
picking a book at the local library;
finding your favorite juice;
seeing the couch after a tiring day;
eating the last piece of cake.

I thoroughly enjoyed creating this and it’s a fun reminder to self and other peeps around to keep finding more glimmers. :)

Madras 385th birthday made special with such a lovely initiative from Davarah & Room on the Roof.

Madras’ nooks and corners have always allured me and it’s so surreal to see some of my photos 📸 on the exhibit along with other brilliant artists who put their piece of heart. ♥️

What if Zobop art was installed at some of world’s popular locations?

I’m a huge fan of Zobop form by Jim Lambie - I first saw it at Kochi Art Biennale and got mesmerised instantly.

It’s vivid, psychedelic, philosophical—how straight sharp lines can create fluidity! It’s to be in oneness with the space.

Zobop is adapted from Bebop, a style of Jazz that’s fast paced and eccentric.

A recreation with @luma_ai on bringing the magic of Zobop with Jazz music from @udiomusic just to make viewers blend in with their own interpretation.

Walking along the gullies, sitting by corner stones, gazing at the ‘wow’ ness of Madras and several other cityscapes has taught me one thing—reminiscing the beauty of a place is best done with sketching and passing along stories of it.

I’m beginning my humble journey into doing both—lots to stumble upon and learn along the way.

I love experimenting with art—that’s the only place I unapologetically deep dive in and create random stuff from scratch.

Never did I realize mixed media sculpture paste, dried flowers, resin, watercolor, and wood log would all be a match in heaven! Loving the outcome. And some guests at my recent pop-up picked up a bunch of them.

Can’t wait to do more.

Last Sunday, @archaval and @rue.des.arts put together their first art popup with @baublebazaar._ at @folly.amethyst

It was a funtastic day with lots of happy faces and memories. We had so many customers who enjoyed our art just as we do—loved watching them pick our creative stuff. So grateful! 🫶🏼

From making these stuff from scratch since two months ago to putting up a popup last week and then finally rejoicing over frozen yoghurt yesterday—we’ve come a full circle with this creative journey!

To many more creative endeavours coming up! A big thanks to everyone who came around and supported us! 🥂

Chettinad is a quaint hamlet in Southern India where art, architecture, and culture intersect together. From sprawling old mansions (traditional bungalows) to artistic tile-making process and quirky nooks and corners, a walk through Chettinad’s towns will leave folks wanting for more.

This AI cartoon film is a recreation to walk someone through Chettinad’s beautiful bylanes, grand facades, open courtyards, and peaceful life.

I enjoyed using Domo AI, @krea_ai , and @luma_ai for my project, along with beautiful cosmic dance reverberation sound using @udiomusic .
